UPDATE: Police release new footage in unsolved murder of 13-year old BC girl

On the six-month anniversary of the random, unsolved murder of 13-year-old Marrisa Shen, police have released new video footage of the last time the Burnaby teen was seen alive.

No one has been arrested or charged in connection with the murder, but Integrated Homicide Investigation Team Cpl. Frank Jang said police have spoken to hundreds of people since the teenager was killed.

“We don’t have a suspect,” Jang acknowledged during a press conference Thursday.

“There are more people we need to follow up with.”

Marrisa was reported missing by her family on the night of July 18.

Her body was found in the southeast side of Burnaby’s Central Park at about 1:10 a.m. on July 19.
